I refer to Tony C. Cutajar’s recent letter about the bus service to San Ġwann.

I wish to tell him that there is a bus which goes direct to Valletta. This is number 22 and it has to be taken opposite the bus stops going to Valletta and Sliema. The bus is a circular bus and from San Ġwann it goes to Mater Dei Hospital, Tal-Qroqq, Msida and then to Valletta and back to Msida going by the same route.

But I also tell Mr Cutajar that we people living in the Mensija area have been forgotten. We have to take 123 bus when it comes and change at Pembroke or Mater Dei. It takes us 20 minutes to get to Naxxar Road for a bus and another 20 minutes to get back home in this hot weather. I hope that a new route to replace the old 42 bus will be back for even the families living in the Ta’ Giorni area.
