Photographer Rene Rossignaud is exhibiting a collection of eight photographs on wooden canvas at the KuDéTa Lounge, Le Méridien St Julian’s Hotel.

The collection is themed around thunder and lightning and the pieces depict views of St Julian’s, Ta’ Xbiex, Madliena and Sliema among others, taking the audience right into the most intense moment of the unleashed weather.

The exhibition is of particular interest to photography enthusiasts due to the technique used to capture these fleeting moments: each piece includes a description tag on display, detailing the technicalities of that particular shot.

Rossignaud is particularly known for this theme and in fact referred to as ‘The Storm Chaser’ in photography circles. Throughout his career he has captured a diverse range of shots that immortalise the beauty of the Maltese weather at its wildest.

Apart from his interest for raging elements, Rossignaud has also been busy with many international events, building an extensive library of celebrity images which have been published in a number of international publications.

“The bigger the challenge, the more determined I am to capture the most original image. I’m constantly in search of that exclusive image and this hunger has taken me to hot war zones around the world,” said Rossignaud.
