A national cross-stitch competition was recently launched by the Stitch in Time Club in collaboration with the Malta Horticultural Society.

The entries will be exhibited during the society’s Grand Spring Fair at San Anton Gardens in May.

The competition’s theme is Flowers, in keeping with the ambience of what is arguably Malta’s most famous garden. All entries need to have flowers as their focal point, made using cross-stitch.

Entries may include any object such as frames, cushions, lampshades or table runners that can be embellished with cross-stitch.

The first five winners will each get a prize and every participant will receive a souvenir.

Interested prospective participants are to e-mail the club on stitchintime.club@gmail.com to receive further details and the competition’s rules and regulations.
