A national cross-stitch competition was recently launched by the Stitch in Time Club in collaboration with the Malta Horticultural Society.

The competition entries will be exhibited during the Grand Spring Fair that the Horticultural Society will organise at San Anton Gardens during the first weekend of May 2013.

The competition’s theme is flowers, in keeping with the ambience of what is arguably Malta’s most famous garden.

All entries have to have flowers as the focal point of the works, which have to be made using cross-stitch.

The entries may include any object, such as frames, cushions, lampshades, or table runners that can be embellished with cross-stitch.

Interested prospective participants are to e-mail the club on stitchintime.club@gmail.com to receive further details and the competition’s rules and regulations.
