Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he is to bare all once more – and been told to avoid any intimate grooming.

The actor, who has already stripped off on-stage for Equus in the West End and Broadway, said the director had warned him not to trim his pubic hair.

The 22-year-old is lined up to play beat poet Allen Ginsberg in John Krokidas’s upcoming thriller, Kill Your Darlings.

“I’ve just been having a discussion with the guy who’s directing my new project,”said Mr Radcliffe.

“It might have a bit of nudity, and he said: ‘Just to let you know, if you’re getting naked, no landscaping of any kind. This is the 40s and you’re playing a Jew.’

“I was like, ‘Pretty much there anyway, mate! Not a huge amount of maintenance going on’.

“I mean, there’s a little bit, obviously, for courtesy,” he added.

Mr Radcliffe – who stars in horror film The Woman In Black – said he has no qualms about screen nudity.

He told Heat magazine: “I’m comfortable with my body.”

But the actor joked that he would never be able to compete with his buff Harry Potter co-star Rupert Grint. “I’m not going to try to compete with Rupert on the arms front.

“His dad is a big guy, so if anyone was going to get the proper muscleman build, it was Rupert, ” he said. Mr Radcliffe, who is dating production assistant Rosie Coker , said he has tried to resist the female attention his film fame has brought. “I was always very nervous about the groupie thing. I like to like somebody before I sleep with them, I really do”.
