The Notarial Archives resource council, together with the Cappella Sanctae Catherinae and Compagnia San Michele, is organising an event of music and history in Vittoriosa next week.

Libri and Madrigali: An Evening of Renaissance Music and Notarial Acts will be an evening of history and early music, showcasing the work being done by these three organisations.

It is being presented in an open-air selection of Renaissance madrigals and canzonette sung by Malta’s only all-male vocal ensemble in the newly-restored Vittoriosa ditch on Wednesday, July 13 at 8pm.

Informative lectures will be given by representatives of the Notarial Archives and Compagnia San Michele. Entrance is free.

The event is being held with the support of the Vittoriosa local council. More information may be obtained from the Notarial Archives at St Christopher Street, Valletta by phone on 2247 9844.
