The Labour Party’s mass meeting on September 22 confirmed what lies in store for Joseph Muscat in the coming months. He will become the new prime minister.

Just by its mere presence, the massive crowd at the meeting signified that Labour would win the next general election and that Muscat will be Leader of the Opposition no more and the present Prime Minister will be just a bad memory.

Who can forget the high water and electricity rates, the higher prices for gas cylinders, petrol and diesel and, now, bread? What did the Prime Minister do to make people’s lives better?

Dr Muscat deserves to be the next prime minister and I have no doubt that he will make the whole of Malta proud.
