Multigas Ltd will be supporting Malta’s future professionals currently studying at the Mcast Institute of Engineering and Transport through the donation of equipment to be used in the Mechanical Engineering and Building and Construction Engineering departments.

The equipment consisted of TIG Welding apparatus Helvi COMPACT 360AC/DC, used to weld thin sections of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals, and a Plasma Cutting Machine Helvi x753n, used to cut different types of metals of different thicknesses with extreme precision and negligible distortion.

Multigas complemented this donation by including a quantity of HILCO top-quality welding consumables. Both pieces of equipment are state-of-the-art industry staples which will allow students to gain valuable experience, ensuring they will be prepared to meet any challenges that will arise in their future workplaces.

“This sponsorship is an expression of Multigas’ mission to support the welding profession in Malta, by building further on our long-term relationship with the education sector and enabling students to develop their full potential,” said Mark Asciak, commercial manager of Multigas.

“Empowering local students with the latest technologies during their training will allow them to achieve higher levels of expertise, making for a well-prepared future workforce. These machines will also be used during the full-time courses as well as the part-time programmes for industry.”
