Watching the glorious celebrations in Benghazi, I could not but ponder on the ignorance, stupidity and sheer self-destructive egoism of man! In my opinion, Muammar Gaddafi could still be alive today and enjoying his opulence if only he acceded to the Libyan people’s just demands, acted like a father to them, gladly gave them a piece of the cake and shared the vast wealth Libya enjoys...

Let this be a lesson to all dictators and, indeed, rulers the world over.

And I feel that even at our level we have a lot to learn from this. If only we realise that one just can’t go on fooling others forever and that we are not going to be here ad infinitum!

But will man learn? I doubt it very much.
