Education Minister Dolores Cristina told Parliament on Tuesday that the work agreed on with the European Commission vis-à-vis EUPA programmes had been completed. The insurance statements for 2010, one each for Lifelong Learning and Youth in Action, had been sent to Brussels electronically on April 29, 2011. These had been followed by hard copies to the EC on May 2, together with other documentation requested by the Commission.

Documentation on revenue and outlays related to the programmes, again as requested by the Commission, had been verified and entered into the agency’s accruals-based acc-ounting system. The reconciliations of the accounting system with both bank accounts and IT managerial systems of each programme had also been done as requested by the EC.

Mrs Cristina was answering a parliamentary question by Labour MP Evarist Bartolo.
