Laughing Matters have come up with a fun and educational alternative for Easter holidays – engaging children’s play at St James Cavalier Music Room during the mornings.

The Complete History of Malta (More or Less) is a hilarious piece of children’s theatre that goes through 7,000 years of Maltese history in one crazy hour.

Every major event in Malta’s history from the arrival of the Neolithic Man to the Second World War and beyond is touched upon and the history is brought vividly to life thanks to two actors and a collection of silly wigs, beards, and even sillier accents.

Penned by Malcolm Galea, who has written various pantomimes like Jack and the Beanstalk and Aladdin as well as the recent R&J Forever, The Complete History of Malta... stars Galea himself as well as Joseph Zammit who had lead roles in various pantomimes including Scrooge, The Princess and the Pea, When you hear my voice and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Originally performed at last year’s Żigużajg Kids and Youth Arts Festival, the play will be performed today, tomorrow, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and next Sunday at 11 a.m. Tickets may be booked online from www.sjcav.org or by calling 2122 3200.
