The prices of 16 medicines have gone down by between three and 46 per cent, bringing the number of drugs whose prices have been reduced to 192, the Ministry for Consumer Affairs said.
The reductions form part of a government effort to bring prices down to the EU average.
The medicines affected by the latest price cuts treat a variety of conditions including stomach acid, inflammations, bacterial infections, oral infections and heart conditions.
