Clayton Mizzi continued with his excellent form in the 125 Rotax Max championship, also attracting the attention of leading European karting magazine Vroom.

After his fourth championship race, Mizzi is now leading the championship (under 30) and is second place overall.

Before, Mizzi was unable to practice between races due to lack of facilities and that handicap clearly illustrates the ability of the driver who is doing so well in the Italian championship also thanks to a well-prepared kart.

A temporary kart track is expected to be ready at the Ħal Far Speedway these coming days which will definitely help karters to prepare adequately for overseas races.

Apart from Mizzi, two other Maltese karters, Gianluca Dingli and Adrian Cauchi, are also competing in the Italian championship.

Mizzi’s last race at Vittoria saw him placing second in class and third overall.

Before that, he had scorched the Favara track, Italy’s second longest circuit at 1.7kms, for the weekend’s fastest lap and a first place.

Next Sunday, Mizzi will be in Sicily again for the fifth round of the championship at the Vittoria complex, looking to consolidate his championship lead within his category.
