Time flies so quickly… especially vacation time. Every year I come to visit Gozo for a month’s holiday and it really does me a lot of good. It helps to renew my determination to continue serving as a missionary priest among the poor of the Amazon rainforest in Iquitos, Peru.

I wanted to write this letter to thank all those who share our missionary spirit and are always helping out in our work among the poor.

Several Gozitan and Maltese families donate to our cause; to them my thanks and prayers. But I would also like to mention certain institutions that are always helping out missionaries in different parts of the world. Among them: the Mission Office, Ġesù fil-Proxxmu, the Mission Fund, Support lill-Missjunarju, the Community Chest Fund… all these and also some companies have responded to our plea, and have helped with handsome donations. I promise you my prayers and to use the money to help the neediest in our parish.

May your faith always shine forth in your acts of charity.
