My short break from the Missions is soon coming to an end. Before returning to Nigeria I would like to express my appreciation to all those who have shown their support towards the street children project we have in West Africa. The Missions is at the very heart of the identity of the Church.
I would like to express my gratitude to my family and friends especially for the activity they organised, to the Salesian community for their hospitality and to all those who gave a donation towards this cause.
In particular I would like to thank the Mission Fund for the support they show towards Maltese missionaries through the financial aid they give. The Maltese have always held their missionaries close to their heart, and the Mission Fund fulfils the role of making this love tangible.
I thank the Mission Fund for the donation of €1,500 which will go towards helping young people at risk in West Africa. In supporting the Mission Fund one is supporting a very worthwhile cause for they are reaching the most poor and needy.
I wish them well in the project that they have at hand in Tanzania and urge all to continue to show their support.
