Social Solidarity Minister Michael Farrugia said on Tuesday that if children missed one day of school, they would need to present a medical certificate.

However, when Education Minister Evarist Bartolo was questioned by journalists, he contradicted his fellow minister by saying that children who missed a day or two did not need to present a certificate, the PN said.
