Environment Minister Leo Brincat yesterday offered to give Opposition MP Jason Azzopardi a list of cars hired under the previous administration on contracts that were still being honoured by the current government.

Dr Azzopardi did not take up the offer.

Mr Brincat was deputising for Energy and Health Minister Konrad Mizzi, who was not present in the House.

Dr Mizzi had written in reply to a question by Dr Azzopardi that both Enemalta and Water Services corporations were making use of such cars.

Dr Azzopardi had asked several ministers for a detailed account of all vehicles rented or leased from “the company whose details are being supplied under separate cover”.

Sources told Times of Malta the company in question was Burmarrad Commercials.
