Twelve singers on board a Red Mini will be touring popular locations around the Maltese islands over the first two weekends of this month, with the aim of promoting the beauty of classical music.

Today, they are performing in the main square at Vittoriosa and tomorrow they will turn up at Balluta.

They will delight audiences with arias, duets, trios and choruses from Bizet’s Carmen, Verdi’s La Traviata and Rigoletto, Puccini’s La Bohème and Turandot and Mozart’s Così fan tutte and Don Giovanni. Both performances start at 7 p.m.

MiniGiggers this year are Francesca Aquilina, Charlene Portelli, Marvic Monreal, Erica Muscat, Clare Ghigo, Vanessa Camenzuli, Cliff Zammit Stevens, Fabian Galea, James Saliba, Louis Cassar, Victor Bonanno and Sean Borg.

Rosetta Debattista is the project coordinator and coach while Denise Mulholland stages each piece.
