As global pressure builds on Israel to end its week-long conflict in the Middle East, the Palestine Solidarity Network in Malta yesterday condemned the “brutal aggression” against the people of Gaza.

The support group said 120 people were killed in the past week, and hundreds injured in Israeli bombardments.

Some 1.5 million people live in the Gaza Strip, mostly refugees who in 1948 fled militias that were ethnically cleansing Palestinian land from Palestinian people.

The group is organising a walk to show solidarity with the people in Gaza on Thursday at 5.30pm at City Gate, Valletta.
