The San Ġwann garden dedicated to letter-bomb victim Karin Grech will be revamped in a €1.1 million government project that will transform the area and include a civic centre.

The project, announced by Resources Minister George Pullicino, will extend the garden by around 900 metres with a play area, fountain and landscaped area.

The monument dedicated to Karin, the 15-year-old girl from San Ġwann who died after opening a letter bomb destined for her father, the Labour MP Edwin Grech, will be incorporated in the design and given more prominence.
