Melita Theologica, which has been published biannually since 1947, has been recently upgraded to an academic, peer-reviewed journal under the joint editorship of the Univeristy of Malta’s Faculty of Theology, the Theology Students Association, and the Foundation for Theological Studies of the Archdiocese of Malta.
It contains articles penned by Maltese and foreign academics on a range of topics that include bioethics, biblical scholarship, spiritual and pastoral theology, liturgy and psychology
This new venture, with its extensive organisational and editorial restructuring, aims at creating an academic platform for the dissemination of peer-reviewed academic research in the fields of theology and philosophy.
It is intended to consolidate the research activity of the University’s Faculty of Theology, while reaching out to a broader and international intellectual audience.
The new double number of Melita Theologica, which has recently been published, continues the series as Vol. 62, Nos 1 and 2.
The latest volume contains articles penned by various Maltese and foreign academics on a range of topics that include bioethics, biblical scholarship, spiritual and pastoral theology, liturgy and psychology.
At a time when different outlooks, new questions and contemporary concerns and challenges continue to bear on Christian theological thought, Melita Theologica looks forward to providing a forum for academic expression that would interest and stimulate scholars and theological students, the clergy and the informed layman.
The journal is available by subscription at the rate of €12 a year.
