When the elegant Mein Schiff 3 of TUI Cruises sails into Valletta this morning, it will be the first new liner of that size based in Malta.

The ship is registered in Valletta and therefore flies the Maltese flag.

After the successful launch of the Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2, the 99,000-ton Mein Schiff 3 is the first new ship to be built by TUI Cruises and represents the consistent expansion of the fleet.

Guests can enjoy swimming in the 25-metre pool, open-air sport, a cocktail under the stars or floating above the ocean on a glass balcony.

The ship has 11 restaurants and bistros, 12 bars and lounges, a shopping area and even a concert hall.

All cabins are decorated with the most modern furnishings and each includes a Nespresso machine.

As well as the tens of thousands of German-speaking guests flown to Malta throughout the season, the TUI cruise ships regularly carry thousands of Maltese holidaymakers out of Valletta.

Although the Mein Schiff ships are aimed at German-speaking guests, Maltese passengers find themselves at home, enjoying impeccable service, quality food and the convenience of the ultra-all-inclusive package prices.

In the 2015 summer season, TUI Cruises (via its exclusive agent Orange Cruises) are offering two one-week itineraries, one to the Adriatic and the other to a completely new itinerary, Greece and Turkey, from April 19 to October 11.

With the comfort of embarking and disembarking in Valletta, Maltese passengers can visit the exciting ports of the Adriatic cruise, like Dubrovnik and Kotor, or reach popular Greek destinations Athens and Mykonos and the port of Bodrum in Turkey.

Cruise bookings will open from tomorrow, much earlier than usual. Booking early means getting the best rate and having the widest choice of cabins available.

Orange Cruises says that the rates will not be lower than what is published now but, if this was to happen, the difference will be refunded.

Prices for a one-week cruise start from €1,099 and includes the ultra-all-inclusive package, which consists of all meals in the main restaurants, most drinks as per TUI’s extensive Alles Inklusive drinks list, tips and service charge, all port taxes and seven different excursions.
