Mediterranean Bank’s annual charity drive has kicked off with this year’s beneficiaries being St Joseph Home, Jean Antide Home and Fejda Home, which are all located in Santa Venera. The bank will make a donation for every account opened during the month of December.

Mediterranean Bank is proud to assist these homes

At St Joseph Home, the bank will sponsor part of the costs involved with finalising the Independent Living Project. The project will house eight boys aged over 15 as they prepare for their eventual independence once they move out from St Joseph. Over the weekend, the project will also house younger boys who cannot be with their families. Furnished with a kitchen and laundry, this autonomous housing is situated within the home’s grounds and will also provide adolescents with study space should they wish to continue studying.

Conservatorio Vincenzo Bugeja incorporates Joan Antide Home and Programm Fejda, residential homes for girls aged between 11 and 19 facing social, personal or familial difficulties. Most of the residents are currently protected by a Care Order while others are admitted on a voluntary basis.

“Mediterranean Bank is proud to assist these homes in their continued provision of care for adolescent boys and girls. Each year we identify a worthy cause and through our business, help contribute to their good work. We hope, with the continued growth in our business, we will be able to make a difference to the daily lives of these youngsters,” said CEO Mark Watson.
