Students from Mcast’s Institute of Engineering and Transport, forming part of the Skuderija Dinamika team, will be organising a classic car show called Classics on the Road today from 9am to 1pm at the college’s Institute for Creative Arts in Tarġa Gap, Mosta.

There will be classic cars on show from car clubs such as Das Maltese Kruisers, Passione Italiana, Classic Ford Club, Malta Mini Owners Club and Skoda Club Malta.

The car show is being held to raise funds for the students to fund their project – a prototype open-wheel formula SAE race car, designed and built from scratch. This student group forms a multidisciplinary team with the objectives being to design and build a single-seater race car for a worldwide professional engineering competition, organised by SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineers).

The students will be joining other colleges and universities worldwide in September to present and race their car in Parma, Italy.
