Surreal and fantastic concoctions of the imagination are some of the themes represented in Ten: Masters of Photography, a collective exhibition presented at Cavalieri Art Hotel, St Julian’s, being inaugurated by Mariella Pisani Bencini tomorrow.
This collection of 70 photographic exhibits is artistic, cultural and educational. Man looms large but is dwarfed by nature. The love for flora and fauna, for architecture and the built environment, for the great interest in history of art and the masters are quite explicit and sustained. The overwhelming feeling is that the participants are versed in history and culture and influenced by tradition: the wisdom of human experience that is transformed through creativity into artistic expression.
