Giannella Attard, née Gauci, graduated with a Master of Arts in Special Needs, awarded with a distinction from the Faculty of Education, University of Nottingham.
Having started her studies in 2012, the modules covered during the course included behaviour/relationship management, personal, social and emotional development, debating special and inclusive education, as well as researching dyslexia.
Her thesis was entitled ‘Inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity from two different perspectives: ADHD and SPD’. This offered a different perspective to the challenging behaviours associated with ADHD while offering practical ideas and strategies for the classroom.
This study was carried out through a scholarship awarded by the Malta Government Scholarship Scheme in 2012.
