Marsascala mayor Mario Calleja recently hosted around 100people to lunch at St Anne’s Hall, Marsascala.

Guests included over-75s living alone or residing at Charian Residence, Vajrita and St Vincent de Paul Residence.

The organising team was made up of the mayor, vice-mayorCharlot Mifsud, councillor Carmen Fearne, co-ordinator Alfred Debono, and committee members Tony Pulis and Alan Clews.

Several volunteers offered their services, including Marsascala parish priest Fr Walter Cauchi, who offered St Anne’s Hall and the kitchen appliances and utensils for free, Crème Caramel Confectionary and Chef Choice.

Tunisian Ambassador Souad Gueblaoiei was instrumental in bringing over a musical group from Gabes, Tunisia.

After a short address, MsGueblaoiei distributed gifts and sweets to those present.
