Marsa are the winners of the 2013 Freedom Day Regatta. Yesterday they finished on top of the Open Class standings at the Valletta Grand Harbour. The regatta is traditionally held on March 31 but since this year the day coincides with Easter Sunday, the organisers put the event forward to yesterday. Marsa sealed their victory in the Open category after winning the final race, Dgħajjes ‘B’ tal-Pass, to finish on top on 66 points. Cospicua placed second ahead of Senglea. In the ‘B’category the honours here went to Senglea who totalled 56 points. Cospicua were second on 42 while Marsamxett placed third on 36.
