The fit and active will tomorrow have a whale of a time walking, cycling and dancing their way to the Marsa sports grounds as the nation gets together to celebrate a healthy lifestyle.

Every year, around May 10, European states hold national activities to promote physical activity.

This year, the Maltese are being invited to either walk or cycle to the Marsa sports grounds where the 60-hour Puttinu Cares marathon, which started yesterday, ends tomorrow.

Those who would like to make the four-kilometre distance on foot should meet outside the Health Ministry in Merchants Street, Valletta, at 3.30 p.m.

Those who would rather cycle the 15-kilometre distance from Saqqajja in Rabat, can meet at the same time in Tiġrija Road. A Zumba class will be held for those who make it to the grounds.
