Education Minister Evarist Bartolo and Middlesea Insurance president and CEO Alfredo Munoz recently visited a workshop promoting healthy lifestyle habits at St Clare Primary School in Pembroke. The Institute of Prevention, Health and Environment within Fundacion Mapfre embarked on a nationwide campaign last year sponsoring Ċaqlaq, a healthy living campaign endorsed by the Ministry of Education and Employment. The campaign targets local primary schools. Middlesea Insurance, which forms part of the Mapfre Group, was entrusted with coordinating the Ċaqlaq campaign with the help of animation group Generation Green. The campaign highlights the importance of a balanced diet and physical activity. As part of the campaign a total of 10,000 books were distributed to students and schools to reinforce the message.
