In mid-October I boarded the number 12 bus at Qawra, bound for Sliema, when I suddenly felt ill. I would like to convey my great appreciation for the kindness shown by the driver, passengers and a young policeman, all of whom helped me.

I would also like to express my special thanks to the young Dutch lady nurse who was very professional and encouraging in her attitude towards me.

The ambulance crew were so very kind and professional and upon my arrival at the hospital’s emergency department I was met by a very jolly porter who welcomed me to Mater Dei Hospital.

The nursing staff was friendly and professional and the Indian doctor who took care of me was second to none.

My sincere thanks to you all. Malta certainly has a hospital and medical staff to be proud of.
