Former Labour minister Charles Mangion yesterday presented his nomination for the casual election to fill the parliamentary seat vacated by Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca when she resigned to become President.

Dr Mangion served as justice minister in the Alfred Sant government and was later deputy leader of the Labour Party, but failed to get elected in last year’s general election. He is currently chairman of Enemalta Corporation.
