A 37-year-old man is critical after he suffered injuries during a fight involving four people at the Rabat Labour Party club on Sunday night.

The dynamics of the fight are still not clear although no weapons were used, sources said.

Police yesterday questioned several people over the incident that happened on Sunday at about 9.30pm. Police were informed there had been a fight and some people had been injured in St Paul’s Street.

On arriving on the scene police found three people who were bleeding. These were a 49-year-old man from Santa Venera, a 52-year-old man from Msida and a 41-year-old woman from Cospicua.

The 37-year-old was lying on the ground outside the club. The man, from Marsa, was taken to hospital with slight injuries but his condition took a turn for the worse yesterday.

A magisterial inquiry into the fight was held.
