A young man from Niger yesterday pleaded not guilty to conspiring to traffic in 700 grams of heroin in the past six months. Mubarak Bawa, 22, who resides in Ġzira, also denied trafficking the drug, being in possession of the drug in circumstances denoting it was not for his exclusive use and tampering with his passport. Magistrate Giovanni Grixti remanded him in custody.
