A 29-year-old man was charged with breaking into and damaging six cars in three days.

Magistrate Edwina Grima heard Stefan Cutajar, from Safi, plead not guilty to forcing his way into the vehicles and stealing several items between February 22 and 24.

The cars were parked in San Ġwann, Santa Venera, Msida and Valletta. Mr Cutajar was also charged with breaching the conditions of previous releases and relapsing. He was remanded in police custody. Inspectors Elton Taliana and Sarah Magri prosecuted. Lawyers Kris Busietta and Jason Azzopardi represented the accused.
