A young Dutchman got away lightly when he fell a height of about three storeys and ended up in a gutter yesterday morning in St Paul’s Bay.

The police said the incident happened in Tamar Street at about 5.25am and members of the Civil Protection Department went on site to assist the man, 19.

He was taken to hospital where he was certified as suffering from slight injuries.

On Saturday, a Hungarian national was not so lucky in a fall in Mosta.

The police said he suffered serious injuries when he dropped a height of about five metres near a bus stop next to the Għarusa tal-Mosta Garden.

The accident happened at about 4.45pm.
