Various histories have been written on Maltese uniformed units that served the British Crown, but I couldn’t trace anything on H.M. Dockyard Police and the Admiralty Constabulary.

I was recently contacted by a keen researcher from the United Kingdom, who is preparing a book on the subject, but his work concerns all civilian police employed by the Admiralty throughout the empire and each section, including the Maltese section, is very limited. Some years ago I was informed that a former Maltese member was writing his memoirs but it looks like he had either given up or has since died. I’m interested in any feedback as the subject could be more detailed if written on by a local.
