Three teams will represent the country at this week’s European Championships in Nantes, France.

Malta will be competing in the men’s Open, Under-23 and Over 50 at the championships starting today.

The men’s team, winners of the tournament in 2002, 2008 and 2013, is composed of Anton Cuschieri, Antoine Aquilina, Johann Attard, Kevin Mercieca, Chris Tabone and Miguel Falzon.

Dylan Cassar, Ryan Pisani, Lothar Mallia and Dejan Grech are in the Under-23 side and Brian Grech, Ray Caruana and Marcel Micallef will compete in the Masters tournament.

All players in the selection will be figuring in singles. They will be joined by Duncan Pisani, Simon Sciberras and Jason Agius.

The pool contingent in Nantes is led by Malta Pool Association secretary Vince Degiorgio.

Degiorgio is also treasurer of the Euro Eight Ball Pool Federation.
