The Malta futsal team, headed by coach Peter Pullicino, will travel to Andorra this week to play two friendly matches against the hosts, the Futsal Malta Association (FMA) said in a statement.

The first game is tomorrow at 8.30pm while the second encounter, on Thursday, kicks off at 7.30pm.

Both games will be staged in Andorra La Vella.

Malta and Andorra last met in the preliminary round of the Euro Futsal competition, held here in January 2015. On that occasion, Andorra emerged 4-0 winners.

The Maltese squad is made up of goalkeepers Clint Mifsud and Matthew Xerxen, together with players Mark Zammit, Carl Azzopardi, Matthew Attard, Jovica Milijic, George Frendo, Daniel Mifsud, Chris Cardona, Nicola Del Re, Gary Inguanez, Ryan Gilmour Cassar, Christian Wismayer and Jason Mifsud.

Cassar has earned his first call-up to the Malta squad after a very positive season with Sirens, whom he joined last January.
