Malta Enterprise is tomorrow holding an investment promotion event aimed at German companies operating in the Regensburg area, one of the country’s economically strongest regions.

The event in the city northeast of Munich will seek to share information about Malta’s business friendliness and trade and investment opportunities. There will be testimonials from German companies with links to Malta operating in the tourism industry and legal sector.

Malta’s Ambassador in Germany Karl Xuereb will be addressing participants.

The investment promotion event organised by the Malta Enterprise Germany office follows similar initiatives in other regions, including a business delegation to Düsseldorf and Berlin earlier this year, promotion events in Berlin and a familiarisation visit for the German media in Malta last week.

The German journalists’ visit, co-organised by Malta Enterprise and FinanceMalta, coincided with the launch of the German-Maltese Business Council at the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry last week when they met members of the German business community in Malta.

They met Finance Minister Tonio Fenech, Malta Enterprise executive chairman Alan Camilleri, Finance Malta chairman Kenneth Farrugia and Malta Financial Services Authority, Malta Stock Exchange and the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners officials.

Accompanied throughout their visits by Sonja Winner from Malta Enterprise’s German office, the journalists visited Malta Freeport, Lufthansa Technik and Playmobil.
