Malta is blessed with many old and historic buildings. Many of these buildings are chapels scattered around Malta and Gozo. Most of them come with them a rich history, not to mention the fact that they are also very artistic and beautiful.

It is a shame that on many of them we see electric and telephone wires which are ruining their beauty.

I would like to see these wires removed. I would also like to see many of the huge trees that are hiding them replanted somewhere else in the vicinity.

It would be most welcome if Din l-Art Ħelwa and Flimkien għal Ambjent Ahjar raised their objections to the appropriate ministry. Hopefully we’ll see our chapels enhanced and enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.

I belong to a group, Ħbieb il-Kappelli Maltin, whose aim is solely to protect and preserve these chapels. We are doing our utmost to let the public learn about these gems and I invite everyone to join us on Facebook so we can speak “louder” about these needs ,hoping the department in charge will finally listen.
