Malta’s rich heritage is being showcased in an exhibition of 100 objects and artefacts each representing particular periods in civilisation and milestones in political history. Exhibits, which include the George Cross and archaeological findings from prehistoric times, are spread over a 165-metre walkway and accompanied by an audio-visual timeline. The exhibition commemorates a series of anniversaries including 50 years since independence and 10 years of EU membership. Prime Minister Joseph Muscat is here seen at yesterday’s official opening at the National Archaeology Museum in Valletta, accompanied by other members of his government.
