In the final three months of last year, Malta had the highest increase - 3.9 per cent – in employment in the EU compared to the same quarter in 2013, the EU’s statistics office said yesterday.

Between October and December last year, Malta was among few member states that posted a drop in employment when compared with the previous three months. The island registered a 0.1 per cent reduction.
