Maltese delegate Neville Bezzina recently joined some 30 young professionals at an annual international relations conference themed ‘In the current climate’ in Oxford last month.

The conference brought together 32 young professionals from all over the world at Oxford’s Mansfield College.

For the second year, the English Speaking Union of Malta gave a Maltese youth the chance to attend the UK conference and participate in the free exchange of views on pressing issues.

Bezzina, who is currently reading for a Masters in digital media and works as a marketing/HR consultant said: “I encourage any ambitious person who wants to make their mark and share their voice to apply to this unique opportunity.

“ESU Malta gave me a great chance to reach out to others and expand my skills, and this is something that I will cherish long after the conference,” said Bezzina.

The theme of the conference allowed delegates flexibility in their approach. The topics explored included civil revolutions, social media and the changing face of development journalism.
