With the German league set to resume tomorrow after the winter break, Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath has picked up the first points of the year... after being caught speeding.

The 58-year-old was fined €195, given three points on his driving licence and banned for driving for four weeks after his case was heard before the district court in Bottrop.

Magath was clocked driving 125 kilometres per hour on the motorway and was judged to have been too close to the car in front in December 2010.

Magath also temporarily lost his licence in October 2009 for driving too fast.
