The people have spoken. MPs have the duty, morally and politically, to vote according to the people’s vote. Their conscience is irrelevant.

Those MPs who are going to vote against the people’s will do not deserve to be called democratic. Some MPs have argued that the minority should be taken note of. This is what the majority voted for. A civil right for the minority. A parliamentary vote has to reflect this. There should not be one nay.

Let this referendum be a lesson to all politicians. Parties are no longer controlling the people’s minds. Pay us the respect we deserve.
