With reference to the article entitled ‘Labour MP worked for Gaffarena’ (June 5), I strongly deny that I have ever worked for Mark Gaffarena.

In 2012 Mr Gaffarena had commissioned our firm to provide consultancy services for works he intended to carry out at Tal-Ħandaq as have done hundreds of other persons over the past years.

We had submitted an application to Mepa but Mr Gaffarena never followed up this application and to the best of my knowledge it is still pending. I have not discussed the provision of consultancy services to Mr Gaffarena since that time.

I also deny that I am involved in the planning application or with works carried out by Mr Gaffarena in relation to his petrol station at Qormi.

Thus I consider the title of the article as grossly misleading since I never worked for Mr Gaffarena. The title gives the wrong interpretation of my relationship with Mr Gaffarena and tries to imply ulterior motives.
