Nationalist MP Ċensu Galea referred to yesterday’s report in Times of Malta on the Speaker’s ruling ordering the media to name MPs who ask parliamentary questions when reporting the answer.

Mr Galea said he had not raised a breach of privilege complaint against l-Orizzont, but drew the House’s attention to a report about the removal of vehicles and boats blocking St Paul’s Bay streets.

He lamented the fact that the information given by the minister in reply to his question had been reproduced in the article but no mention had been made of the MP tabling the question.

The Speaker’s ruling now requires the media to include the information contained in the parliamentary question and also the name of the MP who asked it.
