Divine Sinners won Top Online Release in the Mużika Mod Ieħor listeners’ poll.The results of the Mużika Mod Ieħor (MMI) listeners’ poll for 2013 were revealed last week in a post on M3P.com.mt, the official website of the Malta Music Memory project.
The annual MMI listeners’ poll aims to establish the top favourite releases of the year, as voted for by the listeners of Toni Sant’s weekly MMI podcasts.
A list of nominees in five categories, namely Top Album, Top Single/EP, Top Online Release, Top Music Video and Top Overseas-based Release, was compiled by Sant for this eighth edition of the polls.
“The list is not fully comprehensive of the releases in 2013,” Sant explained, “but I have always maintained, through both my weekly podcasts and blogs, that the list is somewhat selective.”
Sant adds that the scope has always been to include as many titles as possible at the nomination stage.
This year, voting opened on December 2 via a Facebook-based app developed by Kenneth Vella, and closed on December 31. A total of 429 votes were cast in each category. The results are shown below.
