The Malta Institute of Management’s e-business learning platform has won the Best use of Technology in Education and Training award at the first MCA eBusiness Awards organised by the Malta Communications Authority.

The MCA eBusiness Awards aimed to acknowledge unique and innovative local web-based solutions applied by businesses for businesses and society in general.

Under its mission to be a catalyst for the development of managers and leaders, MIM developed the EB Learn platform that offers professionals the possibility to seek their personal development from the comfort of their office or home.

EB-Learn is a sophisticated e-learning system providing interactive communication tools between students and the MIM over the internet. It currently includes customised diplomas, one in international tax and another in hospitality management available in English and Mandarin specifically targeted to foreign participants.

The MIM is also providing two online CPE-accredited programmes: ‘Basic Principles of International Tax’ by Robert Attard and ‘International Tax Avoidance’ by Juanita Brockdorff.

Both sessions consist of four video presentations of 15 minutes each, with online PDF presentations and self-assessments available. Each programme is accredited with two structured CPE Hours to users.

The MIM is also developing other courses to target a wider audience locally and overseas. Further information is available from the MIM on 2145 3097 or at education@maltamanagement.com.
